So do you do anything productive?
Of course I do! Those games don't buy themselves, you know...
If you've already read my "Who?" page, then you know that I am a digital artist by trade. There are so many different titles out there and it seems that every job that I get has a new title for the same work, but I have always felt that the term "digital artist" holds the simple truth in what I do. I use computers to create art.
When it comes to creating art on a computer, it is extremely important to know how to create art on traditional mediums. I've taken countless traditional art classes in the past that have covered everything from pencil sketches to canvas oil paintings. It didn't take long before I found that I wanted to merge the two things that I loved -- art and computers.
I had the good fortune of finding a wonderful group of teachers who taught me not only the basics of the tools necessary to create digital art, but also the methods of how to continue learning. After all, technology is ever-moving and learning is a never-ending task.
Below is a brief list of the main software packages that I have used throughout my career.
